40 ~ an approaching tempest
An august Gyrfalcon rests on the highest branch of Viradjan. Her superb eyesight provides a clear view of the forest. From a distance, she could see from her vantage point that something is amiss as strange dark clouds loom in the distant horizon.
Preparing to take flight, she opened her wings bringing into full view her impeccable black and white plumage. As soon as she was airborne, she immediately went to check the peculiar clouds. She allowed herself to be carried by the air current. But as she got closer and closer, she found herself battling a stream of turbulent wind. Now that the temperate Alunsina has gone, the isle of Sidlakan will now be at the mercy of the Anemoi who fight for supremacy during their chance encounters bringing destruction and death to anything that obstructs its path. This fearsome battles are known as the Uracan,
Sensing that a Uracan is just beyond the horizon, the Gyrfalcon flew back to warn the denizens of Sidlakan. Frantic calls were made as she circled the skies above the isle. A stern warning for an impending doom that is about to sweep everything in its path. The tempest is bearing on a path to the island. This is something that is not often seen for it will be huge and intense.
After flying for a few hours, the gyrfalcon that has now grown weary headed back to Viradjan, As she landed below the canopy, she transformed into the wind spirit Alvae. It seems that she has a lot in her hands. An assembly of the greater elementals has to be convened.
What is bound to happen will surely take place. There will be collateral damage, but for as long as Amandiwin's roots are strongly anchored to the ground there will be an opportunity for life to persist, for rebirth.
