29 ~ somebody heard...

Somebody heard...

A denizen of the forest did hear his sorrow filled cries. As his teardrops fell, an elemental of the earth took notice of the little wolf-pup. It seems as if his feelings reached her heart.

In his sleeping state, an earth naiad lightly went to his side to comfort him and to let him feel the love he strongly desired. The naiad decided to care for him until he is ready to face the world on his own. She gave him a mantle of protection as he snuggled the same way he did with his mom. She will teach him how to survive and through his own resolve, to live.

For at that moment, he would not survive by himself. He would fall prey to the elements if not the savage beasts that inhabit this land.

She will be taking his mother's stead just until the next new moon. She then transformed herself into the likeness of the wolf-mom.

With a slight nudge on the head, he awoke. When he opened his eyes. he saw the face of his mom. Whatever feelings of loss he had earlier were erased at the mere sight of transformed naiad. In this world he now resides, his chance at life just got a boost. Moreover with his mother by his side, he will now be able to feel and touch the things that he sees, explore the wonders the world has to offer.

at winter's end, life begins
to fill the earth with beauty
sadness will be no more
as scattered seeds on autumn
breaks free from slumber
at winter's end, hope begins

The invisible ties that bind us to this earth is alive and real. Just because we cannot see them, doesn't mean they are not there.
