31 ~ grown...

In this earthly realm, the power of life is at its most intense. The budding leaves inch their way out to meet the light of the sun. From its slumber the grasses break out from the ground opening themselves to the sky.

On a puddle of water, I looked down and I saw something furry and puny. I looked above and I saw shades of white slowly moving amidst a blue backdrop. I looked at the water again and I see blue and white. I took a sip. To my surprise, the image that I saw got perturbed. I had to wait for awhile for the water to become still, I silent reverie, I came to admire what lay before me.

Everyday, it has become a habit of mine to gaze at my reflection whenever I see a still body of water as my mom looks upon me beaming with pride. Traversing through the thick shrubbery gives its hidden secrets away as fields of lilac and bluebells come into view. A wide array of colours  in various sizes and forms provide an ethereal epiphany to the denizens of the Amandiwin.

Time seems to move slowly, but the circle of life is in full swing. The change in the seasons is accompanied by metamorphoses everywhere I look. Even the gentle breeze which I could not see takes a different kind of smell and intensity.

During that span of time, I no longer bothered to look at my reflection. Grateful of the chance to live whatever the purpose of my existence is, I wandered far and wide, learning while hanging on the ropes of life. Familiarizing with the terrain, baby steps turned to long strides. Until that one day when I took a look at myself on a still puddle of water, there I saw the full-fledged wolf that I have become..
