26 ~ a wolf's wish...

All my life, I had been wandering by myself in this strange enchanted forest. I know nobody. I have seen a lot of things, but I am still alive to this very day.

I am constantly living in fear, but fear has taught me how to live. Amidst the perils of this land, nothing can take me down. I have learned that in order to survive, I must rely on my senses. To continuously hone all I have got and use everything in my disposal to forage and escape the dangers that await in every nook and cranny of this forest.

What was once hunted upon has now become a beast of prey. The physical threats can be managed, but those that cannot be seen pose the greatest risk. They can suck you dry and lead you to a gory end.

In this enchanted realm, everything is alive. Close your eyes for a moment, you lose. You lose your life... So I learned how to move with the flow, responding to the rhythm of everything seen or unseen.

Sometimes, I walk in tip toe. But more often than that, I run. In the face of danger, I run as fast as I can. To run as fast as the wind, faster than how my legs can carry me so that I can get to live another day...

When I take refuge in my shelter.  I realize I am weary and lonely. And so I prayed for somebody who can share in my misery.

But something is bound to happen tonight. I  did find myself running through the night forest when I saw spirits dancing in the wind. I started to feel an emotional sense in my heart that someone is in need of my help. Then I saw him. I told myself that I cannot allow this man to die. I let out a long howl to interrupt the rhythm of the wisps. I howled as loud as I could. Then, a sudden wind blew the spirits away. A breeze ran across my face. A teardrop came down from my eye...

I have found my master...
