double standards...


Some people choose to live in the shadows, immersing themselves in the solace offered by an unmindful few to gain influence through the various engagements overtime...

For men in their indiscretion allow themselves to be smitten by the whimsical and affable character of those who are in the shadows... who take as much as they can as they seek to uplift themselves until they are at the helm, controlling the feeble and the weak... impressing their beliefs, asserting their dominance...

As their egos are being fed by the accolades and the applause, they become more formidable... only a select few manage to see...

They hide in the precepts and maxims, in religion and in the academe... 

But in actuality, they are living a hypocrisy... of double-standards and mockery...

Take heed... steer clear... never let your dignity be sullied, for these people know how to play with words and manipulate an exchange of thoughts... and when they are being pushed to a wall, they declare themselves as victims in the end... with you becoming their aggressor...

Be wary...

Too much time has passed. Though still young, I already feel old at my age. Why do things have to turn out this way? What have I done to merit this kind of life I’m leading now? I am supposed to be happy and content with the things I have achieved. Yet, there is a certain inkling in my heart telling me that I am supposed to be someplace else and that I have something yet to do which will prove the worth of my existence.  I have lost my self-worth in the midst of my journey.
