As the river flows So surely to the sea It’s power be a wondrous sight As it roams the land so free Is how it lives each day The path of no resistance I need to live this way. I will learn from this old river As the river flows Not held back by its pride It takes all in its stride Not dogged by expectations It flows into the ocean Oh, I’ll be like that river It knows this be its home It has no need to hurry It’s just content to roam. All filled with sweet devotion. That’s how I’ll live my life All free from fear and worry Until my time is rife To join that mighty ocean And lets the power take it As the river flows And things get in its way It knows to never struggle Just flows from day to day To where it needs to go Albeit, oh so slow. Its softness melts all obstacles
