The sea that binds...

As I lay down on the sandy shore, I only had myself and nothing more.. I took a grain of sand and felt it in my fingers. Daylight is about to end... I shed a single tear for it seemed that time had already come to pass me by. As I looked beyond the distant horizon, I only see the endless vastness of the sea. I threw that grain of sand I was toying with. But, I could no longer see nor fathom where it had gone. I only heard the roar of the waves... as they move and ebb from the shore only to be silenced by the restless wind. The sea calls for me. I made my way towards its edge. On bare feet, I could sense the unison of the grains of sand sending a raucous feeling down my spine. The sea welcomed me as I waddled through it. Its waves beckoning me to play,tagging me like a toddler seeking for my attention. the grain of sand... the gentle roaring waves... the sea... I am that grain of sand being toyed by the sea with its gentle roaring waves brought about by the restless wind.

Peaceful Dawn

I looked outside my window for a new day is about to unfold. Darkness still lingers, yet I feel reassured for I know that a glimmer of hope will soon descend basking everything in divine light. They say that before the first radiant flashes of light are shed in the still placid indigo sky, the world is most pure, chaste and pristine; a time of day when everything seems vulnerable and childlike as their consciousness remain welded to their soul.  I headed towards the fields in anticipation of Sol’s rising. The world seemed to be on a standstill and I felt a bit lonely and forlorn. I spoke out to my angels. Silence was their reply. But this is what I have been longing to hear since it obscures my pain and heals my heart. Not long after, Sol’s light pierces through the purple clouds gradually painting the sky in hues of orange and blue. I then looked at it then closed my eyes to relish this precious moment that will soon come to pass. I searched for my soul, and there I see...
